On January 13, local time, the Trump administration officially approved Nvidia’s export of H200 AI chips to China.
This semiconductor tariff measure is also seen as the formal institutionalization of Trump’s statement from December last year. At that time, Trump suggested that Nvidia need to pay a fee equal to 25% of sales to sell H200 chips to China.
