Shipping Company Issues Important Notice! Booking Not Allowed Without Prior Review
Evergreen Marine Corporation (EVERGREEN) recently released the Chemical Cargo Review Guidelines to its customers, further standardizing and clarifying the booking procedures for chemical goods and other special cargo requiring carrier review. The notice emphasizes that for all bookings involving chemicals, raw materials, 3C products, and battery-containing goods, the carrier review process must be completed before booking arrangements can be made. Cargo that fails the review will not be accepted for booking.
According to the regulations, the shipper must submit four essential documents for review prior to booking, including:
-
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
-
Transportation Condition Appraisal Report for the cargo
-
Photos of the cargo itself
-
Photos of the cargo after packaging
To ensure smooth shipping arrangements, Evergreen reminds customers:
-
Allow Sufficient Review Time: For urgent shipments, complete documentation should be submitted at least two working days in advance to avoid delays caused by incomplete review processes.
-
Ensure Document Compliance: All documents must be within a reasonable file size, and photos must be submitted in JPG format.
-
Verify MSDS Validity: The submitted MSDS must fully include the 16 essential sections and be authentic and effective. Specific requirements include:
-
Clearly visible issuance or revision date
-
Complete manufacturer/supplier information and emergency contact details
-
For mixtures, accurate listing of all components, corresponding CAS numbers, and their proportions
-
Upon successful review, Evergreen will provide the shipper with a unique review number. The shipper should keep this number properly. For future bookings of the same cargo, the shipper can note "Cargo Review Completed" and include the review number in the booking remarks to streamline the process and improve efficiency. Please note that the review number has a validity period; expired numbers will require resubmission of documents for re-review of the same cargo.
