Dubbed the "Brunei-Singapore Express" (BSX), this dedicated service is strategically designed to cater to the growing demand for reliable, fast, and efficient cargo movement between the two nations. The direct link eliminates the need for transshipment through other regional hubs, significantly reducing transit times for shippers and consignees.
Logistics professionals highlight the service's key benefits, which include a guaranteed fixed-day weekly sailing schedule and a streamlined transit time of under 48 hours. This reliability is expected to be a major boon for exporters and importers in Brunei, particularly for businesses dealing in perishable goods, time-sensitive manufacturing components, and high-value products.
"The launch of the Brunei-Singapore Express is a pivotal development for our national trade logistics landscape," said a spokesperson for Warisan Shipping Line. "By providing a direct, fast, and consistent service, we are not only strengthening Brunei's export capabilities but also providing our local industries with more competitive and efficient access to the global market via Singapore's world-class port."
Singapore, a global top-tier container port and a premier international maritime center, serves as a critical gateway for global trade. This new express link will seamlessly integrate Bruneian cargo into the extensive global network of shipping lines and services available in Singapore, facilitating easier connections to destinations worldwide.

The service is expected to bolster bilateral trade, support regional economic integration within ASEAN, and improve the overall efficiency of the supply chain for businesses operating in Brunei Darussalam. Industry analysts anticipate that the enhanced shipping frequency and reliability will attract more cargo to Muara Port, solidifying its role as a growing regional port of call.
Warisan Shipping Line has deployed a modern vessel with a capacity of approximately 300 TEUs (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units) to ensure the service meets international standards of efficiency and security.
