DDP Shipping to Cebu and Davao | Beyond Metro Manila Delivery
- Place of Origin | China
- Departure Country/Region | CHINA (Guangzhou / Shenzhen / Shanghai)
- Destination Country/Region | PH (Philippines - Cebu, Davao, Visayas & Mindanao)
- Transit Time (Days) | Sea: 25 Days (Cebu & Davao) / 15 Days (Manila); Air: 3-5 Days
- Shipping Method | DDP Door to Door (Sea FCL & LCL, Air Freight)
- Cargo Type | General cargo - building materials, appliances, furniture, machinery, distributor stock
The assumption is common and expensive: that Cebu or Davao is simply Manila plus a truck. It is not. The port of discharge changes, the transit time changes, the clearance office changes, and the delivery radius you are quoted against changes with it.
Sunny Worldwide Logistics has moved cargo on the China–Philippines lane for more than 20 years, including Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. This is what actually differs when the delivery address is not in the capital.
What Changes When the Destination Is Not Manila
Port choice decides the routing, and the free time
A Manila booking that ends with an inter-island transfer is not a Cebu booking. Cargo discharged at Manila and relayed south pays terminal handling twice and waits for a domestic sailing that does not run to your schedule. Booking directly to the regional port removes that relay.
Transit time moves from about 15 days to about 25
Sea freight runs about 15 days door to door to Manila. To Cebu or Davao, plan on about 25 days. Air freight stays at 3 to 5 working days if the shipment cannot wait for a vessel, and on a partial load that is sometimes the cheaper answer once warehousing and demurrage are counted.
The last mile is shorter, but the radius is narrower
Free delivery covers 30km from the downtown area. Beyond that, the inland leg is a real cost and a real scheduling question — provincial roads, ferry crossings for some routes, and receiving hours that differ from a Metro warehouse. We quote that leg explicitly rather than discovering it on delivery day.
What We Move to Cebu and Davao, and What You Provide
Cargo that fits the regional lane
Building materials and tiles, appliances, furniture and shop fittings, machinery and spare parts, distributor stock and mixed supplier orders. FCL suits a full factory load; LCL suits the shipment that is not yet a container. Regional distributors usually consolidate several suppliers into one sailing, and we will tell you when that consolidation is worth the wait and when it is not.
Documents you still produce
The commercial invoice with an accurate description and value, the packing list with carton counts, dimensions and gross weights, an HS code where you have one, and any certification the product requires. The destination port does not change what the Bureau of Customs needs; it changes where the file is processed.

How a Cebu or Davao Shipment Moves
Collection and consolidation
We collect from your suppliers with our own trucking fleet at the Shenzhen and Guangzhou ports and consolidate at our warehouse against your packing list. The sequence is on our service flow page, and your stock records stay visible in our dedicated warehouse system.
Export and the ocean leg
Export declaration is filed against the invoice and packing list, and the container is booked to the regional port rather than to Manila. This is the single decision that most affects both the transit time and the final invoice.
Clearance at the regional port
We clear the shipment where it lands and pay the assessed duties and taxes, with clearance typically running 1 to 2 days ahead of the industry average. A file opened in the wrong port is a delay that no amount of chasing fixes.
Delivery inland
Delivery to your warehouse or job site, free within 30km of the downtown area. Outside that radius we quote the inland leg before the booking, including any transfer the route requires. If your site has no loading dock, say so at quotation stage — a waiting truck is billed by the hour.

Where Regional Shipments Go Wrong
- Quoting Manila and delivering south. The rate looks competitive until the relay, the second terminal handling and the domestic sailing are added.
- Assuming one port serves a whole island. Cebu and Davao are different ports with different schedules; a shipment for one is not interchangeable with the other.
- Leaving the inland leg unfixed. A delivery address two hours outside the city is a different shipment from one inside it, and it should be priced as one.
- Under-declaring to offset the extra freight. The duty saved is smaller than the penalty risk, and it follows the shipment rather than the forwarder.
Why Shippers Choose Sunny Worldwide Logistics
We own the first mile. Our own trucking fleet operates at the Shenzhen and Guangzhou ports, so collections from several suppliers stay in our hands instead of being subcontracted across the city.
More than 20 years on this lane, through every change in Philippine import rules. NVOCC and FMC registered, and members of the Worldwide Cargo Alliance, CIFA, JCTRANS, WIFFA, FUDA, SZSSA and OLO.
Coverage from Luzon to Mindanao, sea FCL and LCL, and air freight when the schedule matters more than the rate. Every inquiry gets at least three routing or consolidation options, designed to save clients at least 5% against their current arrangement. Optional cargo insurance is available.
Our Cebu DDP shipping service and our Davao DDP shipping service are both quoted port to door, with the inland leg priced in from the start.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does DDP sea freight take to Cebu or Davao?
About 25 days door to door, against about 15 days to Manila. Air freight runs 3 to 5 working days if the shipment cannot wait for a sailing.
Is Davao more expensive than Cebu?
It depends on the sailing, the volume and the inland distance from the port, not on a fixed rule. We quote both against your actual address rather than applying a regional surcharge.
Can you deliver outside Cebu City or Davao City?
Yes. Delivery is free within 30km of the downtown area; beyond that the inland leg is quoted separately, including any ferry or transfer the route requires.
Send us the product, the volume and the delivery address, and you will get a DDP figure with the inland leg already included rather than added later. Contact Sunny Worldwide Logistics — we take care of the cargo more than the owner does, including the part after the vessel berths.
